Why not build a fence around a faded coastal blue abandoned duplex in Downtown Amarillo? The small lot houses three residence and one art gallery. Its come to be known as #on7th. The Avenue adds a bit of nostalgia to the brand. Only a few blocks from the popular Polk Street dining and entertainment and a short block to Process Art House. Downtown Amarillo has a growing group of creative entrepreneurs changing the landscape of a abandoned commercial spaces. The owner, Penny Clark, a lawyer by day and urban pioneer by night invited me to become involved once returning from St Louis, MO. One of the funnest projects yet.

The fence created a splash of color to the one way down 7th Avenue. As well as creating privacy from the sidewalk traffic. Several of my friends assisting with the project got their chance to try welding for the first time. Once the fence was assembled the community was giving the opportunity to paint the rims at a Saturday market.
