Highlights
Size: about 7/8 inch
Material: Sterling silver
This medal features St Joseph holding the Christ Child. The reverse features the Church of Saint Joseph in Roussas, France. The French inscription reads, "St Joseph de Roussas Priez Pour Nous" which translates as "St Joseph of Roussas Pray for Us". It was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving.
St Joseph was chosen by God to have the honor of being the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the earthly father of Jesus. According to legend he was a carpenter or stoneworker who probably also taught Jesus his trade. He was a descendent of King David which fulfilled the prophecy that Christ would be born from David's lineage. The Bible tells of two times he was visited by angels. Both times he was quick to do the will of God, once by marrying Mary although she was already pregnant, and the other time by taking Mary and Jesus to Egypt to save them form the wrath of King Herod. He was a just and righteous man and is a model for all Christians.
St Joseph is the patron of:
Fathers
Workers
Carpenters
Terminally Ill People
House Hunters

Beautiful! Exactly what I wanted
Absolutely beautiful necklace!
I researched that St. Joseph is the patron Saint of Fathers. I was looking for a beautiful gift to give my husband the day I tell him he is going to become a father. I saw this medal and had to get it! It came very quickly, with no issues and I was suprised to open it and see such beautiful packaging. The price was very fair for the quality. I am beyond please with my purchase and cannot wait to see his face when he opens his gift! I definitely recommend rosamystica as a great business to work with. Thank you so much!
