This salve is made from the leaves of the Western Red Cedar tree that grows abundantly here in the Pacific northwest. I make the salve from cedar boughs that I harvest every year in the wooded hills surrounding our majestic Mt. Hood.

The Western Red Cedar was known by the First People in the Pacific Northwest as the Tree of Life. Medicinally it has a long history of use in many ways. For internal use take a look at my Western Red Cedar Tincture.

GENERAL ACCEPTABLE USAGE: Apply a small amount on the affected area several times a day. Cover with a bandaid if treating a wart to keep the salve in good contact with the wart.
Store in a cool, dark place. If stored properly, salves will keep for a year or two. Discard if it begins to smell rancid..

All salves are made by me in small batches.

I obtain most of the herbs by growing them organically in my garden or wildcrafting them in a sustainable manner from the mountains and meadows near my Portland, Oregon home. I grow and harvest all plants and prepare all medicine in a prayerful and mindful manner. When wildcrafting, plants are always approached with a respectful prayer and a tobacco offering. I believe that in this way good relations are built and maintained between myself and the plants. This translates into a more powerful medicine and is my small contribution to the healing of the rift between Human and Earth.
If I find myself needing to buy an herb I only purchase certified organic herbs from reliable sources. I use only 100% organic olive oil to infuse all herbs.
I list my salves in 1 oz quantities (with the exception of the Cold Sore Soother). Please contact me to arrange a larger quantity and discount pricing if available. Because of the small batch production larger quantities may be limited to supply on hand until the next harvest.

NOTE: These salves are made from REAL PLANTS. Variations in color or bits of plant matter in the salve are to be expected and will not affect the quality of the product.
