Leather Water Bottles or Canteens, approximately three-quarters sized

Four styles available, numbered one through four, as shown in the photographs.

No. 1: 9" tall, 8" wide, 2-1/2" deep, 1-5/8" slits for hanging below belt
No. 2: 10-1/2" tall, 6-1/2" wide, 2" deep, 3/4" slits for hanging below belt

No. 3: 10-1/2" tall, 6-1/4" wide, 2" deep, 1-1/2" slits for hanging below belt - DISCONTINUED.

No. 4: 10" tall, 6" wide, 1-3/4" deep, 1" slits for hanging below belt - Still available, but only the Acorn Brown one shown.

Note: No. 1 and No. 2, as shown above, Sold Out, and I made more, but will dye them only once a Buyer specifies his/her desired color. (See Color Samples photo.) Bottle may be left natural, should the Buyer wish to dye it him/herself.

All dimensions are approximate and measured at the widest points. All of the bottles shown in the photos are dyed Acorn Brown.

Unsealed. If one wishes to use one for cool and non-acidic beverages and for more than just a costume accessory, one must seal them with beeswax or brewer's pitch.

(Note: Bottles are shaped by clean, packed sand or rice. A little may remain clinging to the once damp inside. However, sealing the Bottles for use with liquids will seal in what little sand or rice remains and likely turn the bottle dark.)

Five to six ounce cowhide; cut out, sewn, wet-shaped and dyed by hand. Leather is sewn with waxed thread using a saddle stitch.

Accessories for LARP, Cosplay, Steampunk, Renaissance or Medieval wear.

Wooden plugs attached with leather lace included.

It does not come pitched and it was full of sand. A little disappointed. Have not used it yet cause I need to pitch it with bees wax. The bottles shape also deflated making it hard to pitch and solidify in the full shape without dents.

I cannot speculate as to how the buyer "deflated" the bottle. She did not inquire of me how best to seal it. Some small quantity of the sand used to shape the bottles was undoubtedly still stuck to the inside and I apologized to the buyer and pointed out to her that the sand still within would be sealed within the beeswax or brewer's pitch should she wish to actually use it as a vessel for cool liquids.
