Upon checkout, there is a section whereby you may add a "message to the seller". Please enter any personalization information required (names, date, hair colour, etc.) in this section. Once your order is received, you will receive an order confirmation by email. If we have any questions or, if we require additional information to process your order, we will email or message you.

Technically, we can paint these things BUT any design, figure or character like that, are copyrighted and as such cannot be reproduced without a license. We will also not copy our competitor's designs.

Please feel free to share your idea with us! We love custom orders and we will be happy to create a FREE digital sample of your idea before it is even painted.

We are rather conservative re: the number of signatures each plate or platter will hold. The actual number will depend greatly upon your guests. If the first person who signs the plate/platter also adds a message, others who come after will tend to follow suit. We suggest that you put someone in charge of your plate/platter. This person is there to suggest that your guests sign their name only & to make sure the pen is capped when not in use. In the event that you run out of room on the front of the plate/platter, your guests can also sign the back.

One pen is normally enough to last the day and beyond. Keeping the pen capped when it is not being used, is the key. This will prevent the tip from drying and result in a better "flow" of paint from the pen.

We find that this is best accomplished by putting someone in charge of your platter. Their job is to make sure that everyone writes small and that they do not write a novel. They can also ensure that everyone has signed the platter and they can cap the pen in between uses, should someone forget to do so.

Our standard round plates are 10.5 - 11" in diameter. Our standard oval platters measure approximately 16.5 x 12". We do have other sizes and shapes of plates and platters available but, we don't always have them in stock. If you are interested in getting a different shape/size, please contact us.

We use only lead free, non-toxic permanent enamel paints to paint our plates/platters. The plates/platters are intended to be used for decorative purposes however, if you would like to serve cold snacks from the plate/platter, we suggest that you lay down a doily or some plastic wrap over the plate/platter and set the food on top of that. This will also protect the design.

Our plates and platters are very carefully packed with tissue, bubble wrap, and other packing materials. We double box every plate or platter to ensure that it arrives intact and undamaged. In the event that you receive a broken plate or platter, please contact us within 48 hours. Please keep the original packaging material and send us digital pictures of the packaging AND the damaged item. We will replace the item at no cost to you.

Please remember that we hand paint everything that is pictured in our ETSY shop. Generally speaking, we will ship plate/platter orders within 2-3 weeks. That being said, during peak periods, it could take longer. If you require your purchase for a specific date, please let us know. Whenever possible, we will bump your order up in the queue so as to get it to you via regular shipping but, if that isn't possible, we can provide you with a quote with regard to express shipping.

Before personalized items are shipped, we will email you a photo(s) of the item. Upon your approval, we will ship your order via Canada Post or FEDEX ground. Your order will be in transit approximately 2 - 7 business days.

Nothing in life is free and so, neither is shipping. When you see the words “FREE SHIPPING”, please realize that the cost of shipping is buried into the cost of the product that you are buying. We prefer to be up front and transparent in our dealings and so, we have chosen NOT to participate. We do hope that our customers are not fooled by a marketing ploy.

We are always looking for ways to reduce the cost of shipping. If you are concerned about the cost of shipping on any of our products, please feel free to send us a message. We will be happy to get quotes from other carriers.
