To keep the tools sharp for as long as possible. It is necessary during work to periodically use a piece of leather and a polishing paste to sharpen the cutting edge.
It is very important (!) To exclude contact of the cutting edge of tools with hard surfaces such as metal, stone and the like.
Each chisel should have its own storage space.
If a long break in work is expected, then the tools must be wiped with a dry cloth, removing moisture and fingerprints. Then coat the metal part of the chisel with oil (for example, machine oil).

Just finished making a small apple wood spoon and found it to be perfect for the job. It feels very comfortable in the hand and being round in the blade cuts in any direction with ease. Quality is excellent and I will definitely be getting one or two more of the other sizes.

I’m a woodcarver in the U.S. and (so far) I’ve purchased seven woodcarving knives of various designs from ForgedToolsNaumov. Every woodcarving knife coming from this company has truly been marvelous. The quality of the wood used for the handles and the steel for the blades are excellent, and they come together with expert craftsmanship. I think their prices are super competitive with similar products manufactured elsewhere and, based on the quality of all the products I’ve purchased so far, I feel that I’m getting more than my money’s worth. At this point, they have me as a dedicated customer. Whenever I need another carving tool, my first step will be to see if it is something that ForgedToolsNaumov manufactures. If so, that’s where my order will go.
