This vintage carved wood vanity / dresser glove box has a Louis XVI style aquatint picture of a woman holding a letter under glass on top (perhaps it is for holding your love letters!). There is a pull tab to open the hinged lid. Inside, the lid is mirrored and the bottom is lined with glass. The wood inside and out has a light coating of gold. There is a slot for a divider, but it is missing.

On the bottom of the box is soft gray felt to keep from scratching surfaces. The hinges are hidden.

This came from my 80+ year old neighbor and it belonged to her grandmother. Treasure box, cash box, chunky jewelry box, lots of ideas for this one!

It measures
11 1/8 inches (28.3 cm) front to back
2.5 inches (6.3 cm) tall
9.25 inches (23.5 cm) wide

Condition: overall box is in very good condition. Lack of divider and felt is thinning.
