► To reduce the buildup of tarnish:
- Store in an airtight container* in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Avoid contact with chemicals such as perfume and lotions.
- Avoid wearing while washing, swimming and exercising.
► To remove tarnish:
- Sterling silver & gold filled: Wash with warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft, cotton cloth. Dry thoroughly.
- Brass: Submerge in vinegar for a few seconds, rinse and rub dry - you'll be amazed at the results.
► Remove before sleeping.
► Please note that my jewellery is not intended for children and should be stored out of reach of children to avoid risk of swallowing.

*We recommend using a grip seal plastic bag with the air squeezed out.

Gold filled is made up of a thick layer of solid karat gold permanently bonded by heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass. My items are hallmarked 1/20:14K which means that 1/20 of the metal weight of the item consists of 14K gold. The gold layer is very durable and does not wear off like plated items or vermeil, and should last a lifetime with the proper care. All my gold filled components are free from lead and nickel.

Sterling silver is made up of 92.5% fine silver and up to 7.5% other metals, such as copper. Pure silver is quite soft, so adding other metals makes it harder wearing. My items are hallmarked 925 which corresponds to the 92.5% silver purity. All my sterling silver components are free from lead and nickel.
