This scarf is woven with extremely fine shantung spun silk (as fine as sewing thread) with many colours both in the warp and weft. I have used two shuttles throughout this piece as the double weave structure essentially creates two scarves one layer on top of the other and with each colour (bobbin) change the layers interchange so that there is a constantly changing medley of colours. This is an extremely labour intensive piece of weaving because of the fineness of the silk yarn and the constant colour changes throughout making this a very special, unique scarf.

Size is approx.. 8.5 - 9.5" x 69", 22 - 24cm x 175cm and it is finished with an attractive hand twisted fringe.

I advise hand washing and drying naturally. Use quite a hot iron or steam press to bring out the beauty and lustre of the silk. A quick press in between washes will refresh your scarf after wear.
