This incredible vintage sign is an authentic piece of midcentury advertising. The sign features beautiful, hand-painted lettering accompanied by a branch of ripe plums. Originally from Weiler Fruit Farm in Dayton, Ohio, the sign was retired when the farm stand closed its doors in 1996. The family-owned farm opened in the 1940s and grew a variety of fruits and vegetables, selling them on the corner at their successful produce stand. This is an original ONE OF A KIND vintage handmade sign. Unlike big brand advertising, only one of these was ever made and you can be confident no one else will have one.

This sign was painted by hand in vibrant blue lettering on a heavy chipboard or Masonite, likely in the 1950s. The rich purple tones in the expertly painted plums are complemented by green leaves. A matching blue pinstripe creates a frame around the lettering and fruit.

This piece is in wonderful condition for its age, with only some minor scratches and light wear to the paint. All of the graphics are still bold, bright, and beautiful!
