Dieter Dock for iPhone 6 Plus & 6s Plus

I love simple functional design. The design of this dock was influenced by the amazing work of Dieter Rams. Oh come on - you know who he is right? He's that german guy who inspired Steve & Jony over at Apple*.

This version of Dieter Dock works with the iPhone 6 Plus & 6s Plus. If you need one for a 5, 5s, and 6, and 6s just go to my other listing here:

In most cases you can just leave your phone case on and you can still use the dock - unless you have one of those really thick, "drop it from an airplane", cases.** Also, it has a built in passive speaker that boosts the volume of the iPhones speaker. I've been using it to listen to Beats 1, and it sounds better than mediocre (just don't expect the base to thump like your teenager's car). Since your phone is charging, you don't even have to worry about draining your battery.

DieterDock requires that you use the charging cable that came with your iPhone, but it's a cinch to instal. The cable is routed through the dock so it is out of the way and looks great. I haven't tested it with other brands of cables - but those super cheap cables you got from amazon stopped working a while ago, am-I-right? It also comes with some rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding off the back of your night table, you really don't want to look back there - trust me.

10/28/2015 NEW IMPROVED CORD MANAGEMENT!
After using my own dock for over a year I noticed that the cord can become loose and when you remove your phone the cord can slip and come with it - so annoying! I just fixed this and have eliminated the problem! If you bought an earlier version please contact me and I will send you a new back leg that will grip the cord and eliminate the issue!

Some of the parts for this item are 3D printed, if you have ever seen 3D printed parts (of the FDM variety like a MakerBot part) you already know they are not perfect. They are strong, but sometimes you can see textures on the parts that are there because of the way they are made. I've taken great care to design my parts to take advantage of the printer's strengths, while keeping the imperfections to a minimum. In some cases I've even found ways to make the textures part of the design. Just consider the machine marks to be a natural sign of the human element, like when you buy any hand made product.

* Still not ringing a bell? - go here (if you like cool design you really should know this guy ; ) http://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/who-is-dieter-rams/

** I plan to develop a version for thicker cases soon. Let me know if you need that size and I will get right on it!
