Title: Light Above

I love how the light glowing through the petals of this star lily softens the color and speckles into a diaphanous haze. I wish I could capture the strong perfume scent that this flower is known for.

This is an archival giclee print on matte paper of an original watercolor painting. The giclee is an amazingly accurate replica of the watercolor painting. The giclees have an archival white mat, firmly backed with archival foam core and framed I, a contemporary white wood frame with glass. A signed Certificate of Limited Edition accompanies the print. The copyright notice is not part of this print but used only to protect the image on this post.

For the past few years I've been painting flowers up so close that they envelope the viewer in their sensuality and rich color. Enlarged, they become almost abstractions from nature without seeing the outer shape or the environment around them. The original painting of "Light Above" may also be available on Etsy.
