Highlights
This jump ring maker can help you make jump rings out of wire with inside diameters of 4, 6, 7, and 8 millimeters. It comes with a plastic handle and 4 different sized metal jump ring mandrels that screw into it. Most gauges and materials of wire can be used. Mandrels measure 4” (10 cm) in length.
To make jump rings, select the size mandrel you want and screw it into the handle. If your wire is thin enough, thread it through the small hole in the handle, so it pops out next to the mandrel. Start wrapping it around the mandrel, so that it coils neatly. Hold the wire on the mandrel, and with your other hand gently turn the handle so that the wire threads through the hole and coils on the mandrel. When you have as many coils as you want, or when the mandrel is full, cut the ends of the wire and cut the coil into jump rings.
