Hold onto your horns, I just had a wicked good idea!

Oh my gosh, I have no idea how many times a day a great thought or new concept for my business pops into my head! And I used to struggle with how to manage all those great ideas.

In fact, I used to think I was weird or the only one who did this...but now I know! There are scads of us Rebel Entrepreneurs out there who think about business all the time, who wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep because something so awesome just came into our heads!

WICKED GOOD IDEA SYSTEM

I used to have all kind of ideas lying around everywhere... on sticky notes, in notebooks and even scribbled on the owners manual of my car (don't judge, there was no other paper around and who looks at that thing anyways!)

But then I decided to stop the insanity and just start writing them down in one place. That worked ok but I still had a notebook and I couldn't figure out how to get all of them in some kind of order.

Then I read Getting Things Done and a lightbulb turned on! First I needed a system for getting them out of my head and organized...so I made the Ideas Sheet

AWESOME, now I had a great way of making sure none of them ever got lost.

Next I knew that I had to have a way of sorting out the ones that I thought I would want to develop a little further so I made the BIG Ideas Sheet

The cool thing about this one is that you can sit down and figure out all the bits and pieces of your idea without having to DO anything about them. Instead of starting, stopping, starting, you can figure out BEFORE you start if it would be something you would like to do!

And lastly I developed the Little Projects Sheet

If something gets past the BIG Ideas stage and I actually want to start working on it, then I will move all my action items over and get to work! Now instead of sitting around thinking "what should I do next", anytime I have a free second I can work on the bits and pieces KNOWING that I will be focused and successful!
