Unless otherwise noted, all jewelry is plated. Plated jewelry will tarnish (become slightly discolored or wear off) over time. Plated materials are used to keep prices low so my jewelry can be affordable for you.

In order to keep your jewelry from tarnishing quickly and to extend the life of your plated jewelry, it is best to take off the jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, washing hands, etc. as water and sweat can harm your jewelry. Also lotions, perfumes, and oils can harm your jewelry. When not being worn, it is best to store your jewelry in a closed container separate from other jewelry in a cool and dry spot.

This applies to all jewelry in general but I like to mention this as not everyone is aware.
