Fired to cone 5/6, Stoneware is microwave safe.

This handcrafted dragonfly pottery mug is glazed with Birch, lead free glaze over dark brown clay resulting translucent cream and brown tones with blue flecks. This is a stock photo. Each piece is individually wheel thrown and hand painted. Natural variations in size, shape and glazing will occur.

Dragonfly Pottery is food safe. I use commercial clay and glazes that are lead free and have been strictly tested.

Pottery is durable, but avoid sudden temperature changes. - hot to cold or cold to hot. Thermal shock will cause pottery to crack/break.

Do not put pottery in a preheated oven. Pottery must be heated WITH the oven to avoid thermal shock. Do not heat frozen items on pottery. Do not place hot pottery on a cold surface or submerge in water.

Do not use pottery on stove top.

Pottery is microwave safe. Do not use for prolonged microwave cooking. Do not microwave frozen meals on your pottery.

Pottery is dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended. Allow pottery to cool in dishwasher. Do not put cold food or drink in hot dish

The mug is absolutely beautiful, and the weight feels great in the hand. However, it is hand made and therefore took over two months to arrive which was a surprise to me. Worth the wait though for sure.

Absolutely LOVE this mug!!! It's perfect in every way that counts. The handle is a comfortable fit for my fingers (so many mugs have small handles) and it holds the perfect amout of tea!! It's definitely a favorite!!!!
