Berry Season is upon us once again! Introducing, the neutral berry bowl. This season is my fave of the year. This berry bowl is made from flat clay and coils. I also use this bowl to harvest herbs or veggies from the garden. You can rinse the veggies in the colander before you get in the house.
This pottery bowl or colander is perfect for rinsing fresh berries, fruit, pasta, beans and then bringing it to the table with a plate. The final pictures are variations of other colanders that I make. Other options are: a colander with handles, smaller sizes, and a colander with a plate. You can message me if you would like something you don't already see in my shop.

I enjoy making personalized orders and made to order work but, it does take time. With custom orders I also make two pieces and send the best of the two works.
****Pottery is an ancient process with many steps ****
Pieces are formed at a wet stage, dried for several days, fired in the bisque kiln for 10 hours, coated with glazes and hand decorated, and then fired a second time in a glaze kiln. The pieces are fired in a kiln that is full with many other pottery pieces. This ensures an even temperature is achieved inside the kiln. I quote 4-6 weeks for a custom order.
