This business card / credit card holder is constructed using sustainable, renewable White Oak for the sides and Walnut, both native to North America. Quarter sawing this species yields the unique "ray" pattern shown in the pictures. (The lighter stripes running at a different angle than the early and late wood grain pattern.)

This case will keep your business cards flat and crisp for a more professional appearance. I have yet to open my case to hand out a card without a positive comment from the recipient.

To keep a smooth, non-obtrusive appearance the case is held shut by a rare earth neodymium magnet which elicits a distinctive "click" when closed.

The case is handmade in Virginia and is finished with natural oil to preserve the natural beauty of the wood. The case is then polished using a 3-step method that gives the case a smooth hand.

Gift for myself when I started a new job. Turns out it works for me. I don’t love group networking with strangers but it’s part of my role. Turns out I just need to start up a chat with one person and pull out this case to give them my card. Then at least 2 other people nearby turn to notice it when the magnet clicks and everyone wants to see and ask about it. I always start by saying it was handmade in the Northern Shenandoah Valley (where I am) and offer to send them the shop link. I hope a bunch of people are supporting the shop but I will miss the novelty of having the only case like this. Bonus: it’s excellent for impromptu entertaining of children (and adults) while in restaurants and other public places.
