Based on the Egyptian Tortoise (Testudo kleinmanni), a large adult, slightly oversize at 16cm and standing 7.5cm high. You get an idea of the size of the piece from the photo of it in my hand to show the underside.

My limited edition bronze sculptures are cast individually or in very small numbers at a time. The photos show typical patination and colouring.

Love this piece. Looks great, and John was in touch throughout the entire process to provide updates on finishing and shipping it out to me. The shipment had tracking and was easy to follow. The packaging was great, but the piece still arrived with a very small but noticeable chip on top of the tortoise shell. John was great and actually found a local artist to restore the chip. The guy picked the tortoise up and dropped it back off to my house and I can't tell where the chip was to begin with. Definitely recommend buying from John if you're interested in his art!
