4 oz Wild Harvested Pine Pollen Tincture
I've studied pine pollen for several years now, learning the best way to tincture this amazing substance to produce one of the highest quality products for myself as well as my customers.
There are a few things to keep in mind when buying pine pollen tincture, whether it's mine or from another company. Questions to Ask before buying Pine Pollen would include: Where is the Pollen Gathered? How long is the Pollen tinctured? What is the proof of the Alcohol used to tincture? and were the cell walls broken before tinctured?
Our pollen is hand gathered and is fresh, wild harvested Pine Pollen. We have a farm in rural Kentucky that is over 35 miles from any type of metropolis. The Farm is surrounded by a state park and forrest that has been protected for decades. The trees here are subject to so much less smog and pollution.
Some sellers will purchase pollen from overseas, specifically China, and tincture an unknown pollen from an unknown source. Personally, I am afraid of the influx of china pollen. Just recently on CNBC, a report was released that stated the following: A U.S.-based nonprofit group called Berkeley Earth has released a report, based on data collected by a network of sensors across China, that said more than 80 percent of Chinese people are regularly exposed to pollution that far exceeds levels deemed safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The researchers found that the data from the sensors painted a more alarming picture of pollution in Chinese air than previous satellite data had suggested. The team published its results in the open-access journal PLOS ONE.
I included this information based on my own opinion that if the pollution levels are so high there and Pine Pollen is gathered from trees that are exposed to these high levels of pollution, could it be safe to consume the pollen....I don't know the answer to this question, but for my own conscience, I will only ever use wild harvest Pollen from here in the US that I gather myself.
All of my pollen is tinctured in 100 proof grain alcohol.
I tincture my pollen for no less than 3 full months, up to a full 6 months. Before my pollen is tinctured, it goes through a quick freeze to crack the cell walls as well, again allowing more of the essential nutrients to tincture into the alcohol.
I tincture in all glass containers, no plastic or metal is involved in the tincture process.
My tincture is 1:1, I use half pine pollen to the same volume of alcohol to produce a strong tincture. I decided on 1 to 1 ratio to make a stronger tincture that gives more doses per 4 oz bottle.
Etsy no longer allows sellers to give historical use information or recommendations on products that are herb or health related. I encourage you to do a little research on Pine Pollen and it's many uses. I'm here if you have questions, feel free to message me.
Typical Dosage is 1/2 to 1 full dropper under the tongue, twice a day. Allow the tincture to stay in the mouth for about 45 seconds before swallowing. If you the taste is too strong for you, it can be mixed with a small amount of juice or water.
