The deep, echoing call of the raven through the forest is embodied in this life-sized bronze Raven. His call holds mystery and is layered with a timeless connection to the wild. The size of this sculpture has impact. He is a match in size for a BC northern interior Raven.

The edition size for the sculpture is only 12 and there are only 2 left available.

It is 23 inches long and 15 inches high.

ABOUT THE CASTING:

Each of my hand cast bronze sculptures are done using the centuries-old lost wax method which captures all the details of the sculpture perfectly - even my finger prints! The hand applied patinas ensure that each copy of the edition has its own unique and subtle differences.

This sculpture is a stunning addition to a gothic home decor theme or a perfect gift for birding enthusiasts and Edgar Allan Poe fans!

Please enquire if there is a casting available, otherwise the sculpture takes 6 to 8 weeks to be cast once an order has been made.

All of my Bronze sculptures come with a certificate of authenticity in a beautiful folio which can be given in advance of the sculpture for a special date if the sculpture cannot be cast in time for a special occasion.

Yes, absolutely. Bronze can withstand the elements. It simply requires a coat of wax once in a while to protect the surface from oxidizing. Oxidization happens due to the copper content of bronze.

If you would like it to gradually take on the distinctive aqua-green colour that copper goes over time, then just leave your sculpture alone and nature will do the rest!

I include a How to Care for Your Bronze Sculpture information sheet with your certificate of authenticity package to make sure you know the specifics.

Patination is a chemical process to intoduce colour to the surface of a bronze sculpture. As such, some patinas, greens in particular, can be more difficult to control than others. Over time, patinas will gradually change as they oxidize. Application of wax helps to preserve the patina colour, but must be applied about once a year if your sculpture is outside, or once every few years indoors.
