An important original Georgian to early Victorian ring. This hand made antique Georgian engagement ring is set with fine rose cut diamonds and a divine sparkling natural untreated earth mined marquise cut canary yellow diamond at the center.

This exquisite genuine antique late Georgian ring was made circa 1840. It is in excellent condition ready to wear and each precious diamond set in the ring is contemporary to it's manufacture at the end of the Georgian Era and beginning of the Victorian.

I can't express how rare this astonishing large natural untreated yellow diamond is. Today of course we see so many treated yellow diamonds to achieve fancy colors it is easy to forget that naturally occurring colored diamonds are rare collectors gems which are seldom available for sale. Each untreated colored diamond like this is a totally unique individual stone. It would be difficult to replace this fine gem with an untreated diamond of this size and in this exact color. The actual color grade is fancy vivid yellow. Fancy vivid is the rarest and most expensive grade for yellow diamonds. Furthermore this particular stone has just the tiniest trace of lime and this makes it even rarer and more valuable. It really is an exquisite gem and so exciting to have it in such an early handmade ring!

I love the unique sparkle of the fine rose cut diamonds in this gorgeous antique engagement ring. They are so classy and elegant and do catch the light and glimmer and sparkly beautifully because of their hand cut facets. In total there are 12 of these divine pretty old cut diamonds in a halo surrounding the rare canary diamond solitaire.

An approximate weight of these lovely diamonds is 0.24 carats.

The astonishing high clarity earth mined beautifully cut marquise untreated fancy yellow diamond itself weighs 0.46 carats which is a significant and large weight for such a rare gem. There are absolutely no visible inclusions viewed with a microscope at 10 times magnification.

The total fine diamond weight in this ring is 0.70 carats as estimated in the setting.
