Custom and personalized orders

Custom order pottery pieces from start to finish take about 4 weeks on an average. I make every piece by hand from a wet piece of clay. The clay takes time to dry. Each piece is them trimmed and rough edges are smoothed. I hand paint each piece, fire it in my kiln, glaze it and fire it again. Sometimes I have blank piece partially the process, so message me with any questions. I'm happy to work with you. Personalized ornaments are done within a day. I use an oil paint pen to add names to my ornaments after I make them. Custom order jewelry takes about 5 days.

My handmade jewelry come with care instructions. All glazes used on my pottery is food safe and can be treated like regular dishes and cared for with regular dish washing methods. I suggest hand washing, however many pieces of average size can be placed in the top shelf of a dishwasher.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gif wrapping and a personal note can be added to your order on request. Holiday wrap is used November through December unless otherwise requested. Packing slips and receipts are not enclosed with an order. They are emailed or available in your shop account.

These beautiful genuine handpicked wampum, ocean tumbled naturally shaped wampum was found along the shores of Buzzard's Bay.

Each pendant is a beautiful combination of some white and rare dark Purple. Highly polished to give it a lasting luster.

Measurement are shown in photos.

The setting is a sterling silver plated leaf bail that accents the wampum.

The pendant hangs from one a 20” Silver plated Chain with a lobster claw clasp.

My family tree dates back to the 1600s and include both the Mayflower Pilgrim and Native American ancestry. Samoset, who befriended the Pilgrims in 1620, is my 11th great grandfather. It is my ancestry that often inspires my original artistic designs.

HISTORY: I found each unique ocean tumbled piece along the beaches in Buzzards Bay. These pieces have tumbled many years in the sand and surf giving it a smooth appearance. Wampum is the white purple parts of a Quahog Shell. Wampum is an Algonquian word for shell beads or string of shell beads. Throughout northeastern America, wampum was used for jewelry, gifts, communication, historical record of important events, religious ceremonies, and trade. It was the earliest form of currency known in North America. Its value was derived from the difficulty involved in producing bead from the Quahog, and the scarcity of suitable shells. In colonial North America, European colonists often used wampum as currency for trading with Native Americans.
