This is a hand painted Nippon china cream and sugar set in excellent vintage condition. Nippon porcelain is highly sought after. This set is in especially good condition, and still has the lid to the sugar bowl. Both the sugar bowl and the cream pitcher are short and round in shape. They have been hand-painted with scenes of a country house set beside water on a backdrop of towering trees. The effect is pastoral and idyllic. There is a sunset haze over the water.
