My fine jewelry pieces are made with sterling, fine, or Argentum silver.
I also make fine jewelry with gold plated or gold-filled wire and components. I ship tarnish control squares with these pieces.
Jewelry cleaners, clothes, etc. can be used occasionally to remove dust and body oils.
The fun and fashion jewelry are made with the same concern for quality and workmanship but to keep the costs down, the pieces are silver tone and gold tone.
Generally, they are treated and sealed while being manufactured to control tarnish or color changes.
Dips and harsh chemicals should not be used to clean these pieces. A soft cloth, damp or dry will usually do the trick.
Mild soap and water can be used occasionally if needed.

BRACELET - something worn around the wrist
BANGLE - solid bracelet, no clasp
CUFF - bracelet with an opening but no clasp

OD - outer diameter

BANGLES have to fit over your fist so they will hang farther down your arm, more over the top of your hand rather than around your wrist.
CUFFS are convenient since they're open, can slip on and off more easily but shouldn't be bent to get on or off.
CUFFS make great gifts because one size fits most.

Remember that large beads take up room on the inside of a bracelet so consider that when buying, to help you get the right size.

If you are unsure of what size bangle bracelet will fit you, tuck your thumb under your four fingers (touch your thumb to your little finger).
Lay a piece of material (string, ribbon, etc.) or a tape measure across the largest part of your palm, usually the knuckle area.
Measure the strip of material.
That is the diameter of your hand. I list the diameter of each of my bangles.

CUFF BRACELETS should not be continually bent to put them on and off.
Put one side of the bracelet in the soft area on the inside of your arm, an inch or so from where you bend your wrist.
Wrap the bracelet around your arm and adjust it so you feel comfortable.
To take it off, turn the opening to the inside of your arm, near your wrist bend, put one end in the soft part of your inner arm and unwrap the bracelet.
This will help keep any cuff bracelet in shape and prevent them from wearing or snapping in two.

Some of my bracelets are made with STRETCH CORD.
I always use the highest quality cord I can and the heaviest gauge that will fit through the beads, but this doesn’t mean you should attempt to stretch it out.
All elastic cording will loosen slightly with repeated wear over time, this is normal.
Don't expose it to heat or chemicals and whenever possible, roll it on and off your wrist and it should last you a long, long time.

There are several videos on opening magnetic clasps but here's the basic info:
1. NEVER pull the magnetics apart by holding on to them or whatever is attached to them.
2. If possible, slide your fingernail between the two sides of the clasp until the magnets are no longer attracted.
3. If you can't get a fingernail between the two sides, try something else with a very thin edge (like a scalpel or knife or flat head micro screwdriver). Be careful not to cut yourself or mar the metal on the clasp.
4. Grasp each magnet (not whatever is attached to it) and turn the sides or slide them in opposite directions while gradually pulling the sides apart.

What sizing chart do I use for RINGS? I include the ring size for all solid (non-adjustable) rings that I make and that is in US measurements (not EU, UK, etc.).
If you don't know your ring size, put a string or piece of paper around the base of the finger you want to measure and cut the piece off where it overlaps.
Then put that strip on a linear measure.
Search for ring size or conversion chart, there are lots of them on the internet.
US ring size 5 1/2 is equal to 2", ring size 12 is equal to 2 5/8".
The charts will fill in all the sizes and can be found in inches and millimeters.
