In some cases, the White Border could be thicker on some sides when the proportions of the paper differs from the proportions of the original painting. We prefer not to distort the images to make them fit onto the paper to fit standard size frames unless you request so. (Some images may appear incomplete or a little distorted).
This painting represents the life and death of Frida Kahlo. The two are facing each other without sadness or regrets. Frida alive wears a head adornment of fruits to sustain the body, Dead Frida wears a head adornment consisting of flowers to keep the life and memory of Frida alive. Uniting the two Fridas and continuing her legacy are art supplies , embodying her love for painting.
At the center of the painting there is a spider monkey, one of Frida's favorite pets and often portrayed on her paintings. The spider monkey holds a needle with a heart shaped head and thread while sawing Frida's eyebrow like a heartbeat line.
To the right of the painting there is a spider, echoing the title of the work and representing the fact that there is life even in the smallest creatures in the most unexpected places.
The original painting measures 24"x36" made with Acrylics on canvas.
Watermark(s) will not appear on the print
