When will my mask/crown ship?

5-6 business days, depending on how many people have placed orders already. The reason? Items are not premade. Here is a good guide: 1. Jan-Aug: 3-6 business days before it ships 2. September - 7-10 business days to ship out 3. October - can take 2 weeks to ship out- it's PEAK HALLOWEEN SEASON; the line gets LONG 4. Nov-Dec: 5-10 business days to ship out (HOLIDAY SEASON) When you place the order, you'll be put in the line. There are typically other items in progress when you order, so you need to work your way to the front of the queue before we start it. IMPORTANT: Our cancellation window is 1 hour after purchase.

How long does it take you to make a puppet?

Once you get to the front of the queue, typically 2 weeks. It depends a lot on if you are asking for a custom color or type of fur that we don't have in stock and have to order; in that case, we are at the mercy of the supplier and how long it takes them to ship us the material. If you are asking the artist to do a new design, those take longer because he does research on the creature before he starts. Further, he may try something and not be pleased with it, so start over. After custom puppets are completed, they get a photo & videography session before being shipped, and that can take a couple days. If you need the puppet for a special gift or event, let us know before the process starts and we can let you know if it is doable.

Custom and personalized orders

We are happy to try and work with you on a design you don't see in our shop. Keep in mind there are a few things the artist does not do, but he will let you know. Just send us a message about what you are interested in, and send a few photos if possible of examples of what you are looking for.

What is the process for cancelling an order?

We understand sometimes mistakes are made, so within one 1 hour of ordering, you may cancel. Just send us a message with request to cancel. We will process the cancellation as soon as we can; typically in 24 hours or less. You will get an email from Etsy confirming the cancellation and full refund. If it has been longer than 1 hour since your order was placed, we are happy to do store credit or an exchange.

If the rare case your item does not fit or is not what you expected (color for example), you may exchange your item for another of equal or lesser value, as long as you return the item you received within 7 days of receipt. 🚩You are responsible for shipping costs both ways. Keep in mind with online ordering of wearable items, there is no guarantee fit since everyone's head size is a bit different & everyone's facial contours are a bit different. With that said, allow extra time before your event to do an exchange just in case. (In 8 years this has only been an issue for 2 customers, so it is infrequent, but we like to put it out there!) REFUNDS:Because our items are commissioned leather artwork, we don't do straight returns for refunds.

When possible, keep your leather dry. But there is protection: We know many of our customers wear their pieces at outdoor Renaissance Faires, music festivals or Burning Man, so we spray the leather with an acrylic protective Krylon coating for UV protection and waterproofing! This is adequate as protection from mild sweat or mild rain. However, do not submerge your item in water - it is not THAT waterproofed 💧 If you need a mermaid mask to swim in, contact us to discuss 🧜♀️

SECURING THE MASK: OPTIONS
We offer 3 types of black ties, and 2 options if you don't want the mask tied on:
♦ Cord ties - comfortable & secure
♦ Ribbon ties - soft & elegant (white/colors available)
♦ Waterproof, Braided "thread" ties -- braided for strength, this is not regular sewing thread. It is waxed thread for sewing leather, and very sturdy. Because of the wax coating, it holds a knot very well.
♦ On a Stick - masquerade-style.
♦ No holes - If using adhesive to attach the mask (Cosplay); Glue/adhesive/ties not included. Let us know, we'll make the mask pliable. Not for large masks.
