This is a new alpaca/wool blend yarn from the UK! It's 20/60/20 British Alpaca/Merino wool/Nylon in a Superwash knitting yarn. It weighs in at 2,000 ypp. Each 100g (3-1/2 oz.) skein has approximately 437 yards (400 meters). It knits up beautifully on sock machines on every cylinder from the 54 on up to the 96. You can also use it for hand-knitting on roughly American size needles 0 through 2.

It dyes beautifully and wears very well in socks, despite being soft and cushy. This yarn is Natural White--a clean palette for your dye projects. It's also Superwash so it won't shrink, even when washed in the washer and dryer.

I regularly sell this yarn to historical reenactors that want a historically accurate look but enjoy the convenience of modern yarns that can be machine washed and dried and has nylon for added strength.
