To keep the tools sharp for as long as possible. It is necessary during work to periodically use a piece of leather and a polishing paste to sharpen the cutting edge. It is very important (!) To exclude contact of the cutting edge of tools with hard surfaces such as metal, stone and the like. Each chisel should have its own storage space. If a long break in work is expected, then the tools must be wiped with a dry cloth, removing moisture and fingerprints. Then coat the metal part of the chisel with oil (for example, machine oil).

The hand forged tool is intended for cutting round objects of large volumes, such as kuksa, a cup, a ladle.

Our tools are carefully sanded and polished on all sides, allowing the chisel to glide easily over the wood as you work. This makes the woodcarving process faster and easier. Moreover, when it comes time to sharpen the tool, you do not need to grind the surfaces yourself - just sharpen the cutting edge. This will save you a lot of time and money.
All tools made by our blacksmith undergo heat treatment.
Beech handle, oiled.

Since the tool is handmade, the size of the product may vary slightly in the process of working on an order.

All hand forged tools were made by blacksmith Naumov.
For identification, all tools have a blacksmith's mark.

The tool can be ordered with or without a handle. Handle length 210 mm, for two-hand operation.
The tools are sharpened and honed, ready to use.

Very high quality Carving tool that was made with a lot of love and skill. Packaged very well for shipped and incredibly sharp. I order the Twca Cam without the handle because I want to make own. The Handle I made out of Manzanita. I wanted to honor the tree and the maker of the tool, so for California I carved Acorn woodpeckers and for Ukraine I did the White Stork. I feel incredibly fortunate to have got this tool. I look forward to the many hours of greenwood working a head. Thank you with love form California -JT
