Highlights
Pineapple : the symbol for hospitality. This kit contains all the materials needed for making a small mug rug or table mat. The 7 inch diameter pattern is hand drawn on a 16 inch square of primitive linen. All fabric is pre-cut, new, 100% wool of the highest quality and hand-dyed by me. In addition to the serged outer edges, I have zig-zagged around the pattern so it is ready for trimming after the hooking is completed. Cording and whipping yarn are included for finishing the edges as well as a photo guide and printed directions. You have the option of purchasing this kit with or without a rug hook.
The 16 inch square linen backing fits best for working in a quliting hoop, embroidery hoop or rug hooking frame that is 14 inches or less.
Please note. This is traditional rug hooking, not latch hooking. The materials used to complete this project are strips of wool cloth. Tools needed are a rug hook, a frame of some kind (embroidery, quilting, or rug hooking) to hold the pattern taut, scissors, and a large eye needle for finishing.
