I shot this image at a roadside street fair in Wisconsin. It was right at sunset so the sky was electric blue, and the colors of the carousel were lit up against the surreal colored sky. The carousel looked like a restored antique, and I got some great shots with all the light and color. This one was one of my favorites.

The print was overworked with a 19th century glass plate negative, and hand tinted using Photoshop. As with all of my work, it has a fabulous antique feel that must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The image was printed onto heavyweight archival Epson Ultra Premium Matte paper using Ultrachrome archival inks, to last a lifetime.

The watermark will not appear on your print.
