There is no right or wrong time to cleanse your mala, it’s all about following your intuition. If you feel your mala hasn’t been sending the right vibrations, or is misaligned with your intentions, it’s probably time to cleanse your beads. As you wear your mala beads they can pick up different vibrational frequencies given off by those you spend your time with or from the environment that you are in. If you feel that your mala isn’t giving you the positive energy that you need, it might be a sign that it is time to cleanse your mala beads and realign them with the proper intention in mind.

Place them under the sunlight or moonlight. This will help to recharge them and release any of the unwanted vibrations. To avoid fading only place them in the light for a couple of hours. Leaving them in the sunlight/moonlight can also help to kick up their energetic qualities. Some say that to lay them out under the full moon can help to give a more natural, long lasting recharge.

Also burning sage in the presence of your mala will help to cleanse out any energies that don’t serve you.

It's important to be clear what you would like in your life. Sit down with a pen and paper and write down all the things you would like in your life. Be it spiritual, physical or material. Narrow it down to one most important to you for the moment.

It is best to do this at a quiet time. When you are alone in a room, take the mala in both hands and bringing your hands to your heart, close your eyes. Inhale and exhale deeply a few times to ground yourself into the present moment.

Either out loud or internally state your intention while projecting the intention into the mala. Do this a few times, as long as you want.

I was less than satisfied with this necklace but that is my own fault. I expected it to be the size and length of most mala necklaces which are close to 30 inches. Instead, it is made of much smaller beads and therefore much shorter and less substantial. In her item description, the seller says it is 14 inches so that should have clued me in. I would say it is more like 22-24”. It is well made and I will certainly wear it, just not what I was expecting.
