The books are acquired from local libraries so we recycle instead of depleting our natural resources.

The book used for your order will be similar in size but the cover may be a different color. I choose books that are in good condition, have neutral or mainstream content, and are hard cover. Mostly, I choose books based on how many pages are needed for your project.

It takes a long time to create a folded-book sculpture and each character has its challenges. But it is really fun to see the shape materialize as the work progresses. Folding the pages with precision is like meditation: there is a calming, zen-like quality to the process.
