This picturesque dwelling is tucked away in a small, inconspicuous canyon in Southeast Utah and reached only by a dirt road and a hike of a mile or two. It is not protected in a park or monument and we believe has not been rebuilt or stabilized. This cliff dwelling was discovered in 1892 by an expedition party out of Toronto Canada.

Though it appears strong and robust, it is delicately perched on the edge of an outward sloping floor of the alcove. A large year-round pool of water is concealed by the bushes below. The dwellings in this area were built and used by the Anasazi Indians (aka Ancestral Pueblo People) 800 to 1,000 years ago. My guess is this was home for a few extended families.

The open edition 8" x 10" southwest USA photographic image was printed at a professional lab. This print is double matted with hand-cut matboards and unframed. The package is shrink wrapped. Remove the shrink wrap and it is ready to slip into an 11" x 14” frame. Included with the matted photo is a descriptive label ready to peel and apply to the back of the frame's protective cover. I will be listing more of the same image with different mat colors.

When scanning the double matted image, the image was fuzzy and does not appear very clear due to the depth of the mat. However, the photo in the next frame shows the clarity of the actual photograph. This double matted photo will be shipped protected in a padded envelope to arrive safely. Watermark will NOT appear on your photograph.
