This amazing coin is from the years 416 - 357 BC , and was minted in Byzantion (Byzantium) a Greek Colony which would later become the site of the city of Constantinople and later Istanbul, Turkey .

I suppose these motifs are indicators of the importance of those animals to the local livelihood , but it is so fun and fanciful to see now.

This coin is authentic, as all of my coins are and was purchased from long time and respected dealers.

I have given it a bezel of 22 kt gold, and a silver band, also whimsical in design , and about 6 mm wide.

Size is 6.75
