How do I get an accurate head measurement to ensure a hat will fit?

The best way to measure your head is to go across your forehead and just above your ears. You want to measure around the largest part of the head.

What is your return policy?

I accept returns. Please contact me before sending an item back. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. There is a 50% restocking fee for returns on custom made items. There is a 25% restocking fee for costume items purchased during September and October and returned after Halloween. Refunds will be issued to the account which made the purchase.

Which countries do you ship to?

I am currently only shipping to the US. Please contact me about the possibility of shipping elsewhere. It is the buyer's responsibility to find out about any fees, import taxes, or regulations regarding importing (this especially applies to feathers). I do not know the laws or import fees for each county and can't be held responsible for policies set by your government.

How long will it take orders to arrive?

Once an item ships, USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail usually takes two to five days to arrive. International shipping varies by destination, with shipments to some counties taking two to three weeks to arrive. Sometimes packages are held at local post offices and customers must pick them up in person and pay an import tax. This varies by country. Sometimes your post office notifies you and sometimes they don't. It is a good idea to track the package yourself. I have no control over this and can't help if your post office holds your package or charges a fee.

Does shipping include insurance?

USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Mail include insurance. I am not responsible for lost packages once they have been accepted by the US Postal Service.

Ahoy matey! Do you dream of being a pirate and sailing the seven seas? Maybe you're an airship captain in the sky. This felt tricorn is flexible, comfortable, and is sure to make you the envy of all your pirate friends.

This 100% wool black tricorn has been hand-blocked. The brim is edged with fancy black braid. Choose from a flat braid, or one with a fringe edge. The crown is decorated with a removable pin, made from a black ribbon cockade with a dark gold button, hand curled pheasant feathers, ostrich, peacock and rooster feathers.

Choose from basic Black for your wool hat base, or Ink, which is a softer black with a navy blue undertone which goes well with cool colors like gray, blue, green, or purple.

This hat comes in three sizes:
Small/Medium- Fits heads up to 22” around. Has a drawstring to cinch in for smaller heads.
Medium/Large- Fits heads between 22" and 23".
Large/Extra Large- Fits heads between 23” and 24”.

A note about my pirate hats: I make my hats with the following concerns in mind; flexibility, durability, and affordability. These hats are made from a soft, heavyweight wool. They have not been starched or stiffened. Please do not expect an extremely rigid hat. I have found that heads are different shapes (not all round) and a flexible hat is more likely to be comfortable on everyone. Additionally, the decorations on these hats have been glued rather than stitched. This is because glue is much stronger and stays hidden, while stitching can show when you don't want it to and can unravel. Also, gluing takes less time and helps me keep my prices down. Please be aware of these facts when ordering.

My hat arrived on time and is well made. I plan to add more feathers and maybe some decorations. It fits well and I appreciate the adjustable inside because I have a tiny head lol. I only wish there was bubble wrap or packing paper in the box because it arrived smashed in on one end. The hat doesnt appear to be damaged thankfully!
