The Tillandsia stricta is a crowd favorite and a very easy plant to grow. With stiff green leaves, this hardy air plant will bloom a white bud that has colorful light pink/red blooms with white/blue flowers. Once blooming, this air plant will create a "pups" that will continue the cycle on! You can leave the pup attached to the mother plant and they will form a nice clump over time, or you can remove the plant safely from the mother once its about 1/3rd the size of the mother plant.

Air plants are great for indoor design as they are very easy plants to take care of. They need indirect sunlight, occasional soakings, and good air circulation. Depending on your environment, you will need to water 1-3 times a week and can mist the plants in between soakings. Plants in a hotter/dryer environment will need more water than plants in a cooler more humid environment. Pay attention to the curvature of the leaves, as they would begin to curl together when getting "thirsty".
