One set of 2 hand warmers (heat packs OR cold packs), roughly 4.5in squares, filled with dried cherry pits. They are unscented, but DO have a distinct "dried cherry pits" smell. Cherry pits stay hot much longer than typical rice filled bags and my tactile son can't get enough of the fabulous rain stick nose they make.

We use these throughout the winter, just toss them in the microwave for a little less than a minute, then shove them in your kiddo's pockets. The whole walk to school, hands stay toasty warm.

Alternatively, you can put them in the freezer for a few hours to use as a cold pack.
