A dark red sapphire, set in 24K gold is the focal point of this gorgeous statement ring. The rich colour of the stone, combined with the sumptuous gold and the organic shape of the setting give this elegant statement ring an earthy and natural feel. A sophisticated look that goes beyond the usual bling. The oval band was textured to match the setting and is wonderful to wear.

This ring will be gift-wrapped in a beautiful handmade box
Process:
Recycled 24 K Gold was melted and rolled out in my studio and cut to shape to form the bezel for stone. The setting was fabricated from sterling silver sheet and lightly textured with a ray-pattern. A band was formed from oval wire, textured to match the setting and the parts were assembled. All sharp edges were filed and sanded to ensure a very comfortable wear, the ring was lightly oxidised and the stone was set.
