This 100% linen pirate vest/waistcoat is perfect for anything from historical reenactment to pirates, like Jack Sparrow! This vest is made with historical methods. It is designed to be worn over the shirt and breeches. It cinches in the back for a fitted look.

The vest pictured was hand sewn. See my other listing for a fully hand-sewn vest for an additional price (hand-sewing is much slower than machine-sewing). The vest will be sewn on the machine for long hidden seams and hand tacked anywhere stitching is visible. All seams will be felled to prevent fraying.

All the buttonholes are hand-stitched (including the eyelets for the adjustment string).

Please provide your chest size to ensure a proper fit. This vest will be about mid-thigh length.

Linen feels cool in summer heat and warm in winter cold, and doesn't feel as wet as other fabrics, unless it's completely soaked, and dries quickly.

This vest comes in just about any color. Just let me know what color you want and I'll let you know if it's available.

This vest is intended for men, but women can wear it as well--especially if you're a female pirate disguised as a man!

This vest is custom made so please allow up to 6-10 weeks (give or take, depending on how many orders I have currently). Fabric is pre-washed to ensure proper fit and reduce shrinkage. The vest should be hand washed or machine washed with cold water on the most gentle cycle and line dried only. Repeated washings will make the fabric softener and softer until it eventually falls apart (but only after many, many, many washings), so wash as gently as possible.
