OUR STORY

As the parents of two kids with life threatening food allergies and asthma, we get the need to have medicine immediately accessible, in a fun and functional case that fits and protects the medicine while alerting those who need to know that there is medicine inside. The case also needs to fit our kids! If a case is uncomfortable or unattractive to your child, they will not want to carry it or wear it. When kids design their own case, they will naturally take ownership of it and want to carry it, take care of it and not lose it.

SIZE

This case comes in three sizes to fit a wide variety of medicines. The largest case shown is 9" x 5 1/2", then 8 1/4" x 4 1/2" and finally the smallest case shown is 7 1/2" x 3 1/2". The smallest case will easily hold 2 AuviQ with a standard sized inhaler as well. This case works great for other medicine as well. DESIGN

Customize the case with add ons and hardware when you place your order. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a receipt from Etsy that contains a link to the design form with fabric options, thread colors, fonts, ribbons and more to choose from. The pictures listed are examples of a few of the cases we have done already. After completing the form, you will have the opportunity to approve mock-ups before your case is made.

MATERIALS

We use a variety of layers of materials to help protect and insulate your medicine. Every case will have a minimum of four layers of materials, including the insulation. The insulation that we use reflects the extreme temperatures away from the medicine. It is breathable yet, won't break down with repeated washings. The insulation, insulates. It is heat-RESISTANT, NOT heat-proof. It is the same material that is used in hot pads and lunch bags usually. When we tested it in extreme temperatures with both AuviQs and Epi-Pens in two cases (one with insulation and one without), the medicine was slower to get to high heat temps and freezing temps but, eventually extreme temps were reached. The medicines were cooked at 170 degrees in the oven, left in the hot sun all day and then frozen for three days. None of the medicines became cloudy or discolored (insulated or not).

WHAT'S INCLUDED

This listing includes the ICE Panel = In Case of Emergency Embroidered Panel.
The emergency panel is a flap that is sewn to the inside of the case. You can add 4 lines with 18-20 characters / spaces per line. Suggested information for the panel would be name, medical condition, basic emergency instructions and emergency contact information.

Also included are your choice of D-Ring, Swivel Clip or Wristlet.

UPGRADE OPTIONS (Shown in the last three pictures)

Belt = A D-Ring will be added to each side of the case so that the durable, adjustable, webbing belt can be attached.

Waterproof Layer = Protect your medicine even more with a layer of PUL in between the layers and a loksak. PUL is the same material used in cloth diaper covers. It won't make the case 100% waterproof since there are still seams and a zipper but, it will protect against a run through the rain, spills, etc... We sandwich it between the layers to keep the pretty fabrics visible.
