If you'd rather be in your home state of Colorado, this is the keychain for you! I've hand stamped a rectangle of aluminum with the words "I'd rather be in Colorado" and added a tiny mountain sunrise design.

I've finished the key chain with a stainless steel key ring. Stainless steel is a little more expensive than some other options, but it has the advantage of not rusting like other metals. It's also much less likely to be a skin irritant like cheaper nickel-plated finishes.

Technique: Hand stamped
Hand stamped items uses hand tools (a hammer and steel stamps) to add the letters and numbers one at a time. No lasers or machines! Because of the hand tools, you may notice light hammer marks or a brushed (not smooth) texture on the metal, particularly on the back.

If you would prefer a smooth surface on the back, ask me about creating a wood (not metal) laser engraved piece for you as a custom order.

The rectangle is made of heavy-duty aluminum. You may see the marks from the stamping on the reverse side; this a normal for hand stamping on metal.

Metal options: Aluminum is the lightest option; both copper versions are heavier.

The lettering is a little deeper on the aluminum which is a softer metal than copper. All keychains are thick and sturdy, the thickest ones that I offer.

I add words to most metals using a hammer, not a laser or machine. This means that I cannot add words to both sides of an item. (You will see the hammer marks and brushed finish on the back.) Because I add one letter at a time, I do not have machine-like precision for alignment. (I'm human!)

This may be laser engraved on both sides. This is a colored metal (red, green, blue, black, purple).

Wood
If you need a 2-sided item, you may prefer a laser engraved wood keychain or other wood items (earrings, pendants) as a custom order.

Choose First Class (least expensive, slowest) or Priority Mail (more expensive, faster) shipping at checkout. U.S. packages over 1 pound must be sent Priority Mail; First Class is only for lightweight items. Orders with free shipping ship the cheapest way. Contact me about Express/Overnight shipping.

Delivery dates are *estimated* by the post office and *not* guaranteed. (Packages may arrive later than expected!)

You will get a tracking number to use at usps.com as soon as your package ships.
