Cheerful quilt, with a traditional pattern, done in modern prints.
The quilt top measures 53.5 x 67 inches.
It consists of 32 Saw Tooth Star blocks, combined with 31 25-Patch blocks. The overall design is scrappy to give the impression of a vintage piece.
The quilt is machine pieced and quilted. Batting is a low loft 80% cotton batting. The backing is also pieced from cotton fabrics (see picture 5). I quilted horizontal lines in 1 inch intervals, light blue thread. The binding is of the same red print as the centre of the 25-Patch blocks.
The quilt is washable. I recommend a hand washing program on your washing machine, do not spin-dry too hard, no tumble drying but instead lay out flat for air-drying.
