A vintage knitting pattern to create this realistic toy cat. SENT BY EMAIL
Kosset the cat is knitted in a mohair yarn and then “brushed” to achieve his soft furry look. The knitting is simple ( plain stocking stitch), but care is needed with short row shaping to sculpt him into these poses. A very effective little puss, though, originally included in a “Hobbie toys” knitted toy booklet. ( I have the others from the whole book, if anyone is interested).

The name Kosset was also a carpet manufacturer at the time this was written…although I am not sure which came first; the cat or the company, LOL. (probably the company!)
They have called the one posed with crossed paws “Kisset”! Aww.
