I recommend the following chain lengths for these ages:

3-7 years = 12 inches
8-9 years = 13 inches
10-12 years = 14 to 15 inches
13-15 years 15 to 16 inches
16+ years 17 to 18 inches

It's always best to measure first. These measurements do not include the name pendant which will increase the overall necklace length by 1-2 inches.

I use top quality pure silver plated wire which has a copper core. The chain is silver plated over an iron or copper base.

Because it's silver plated, the coating will eventually wear off (depending on how often it's worn) exposing the copper underneath.

For this reason I highly recommend the sterling filled option as it has a much longer life (comparable to sterling silver) and so is well worth the additional cost.

I recommend avoiding lotions and perfumes, chlorine pools and hot tubs and sweaty sports while wearing the jewelry to extend the life of the item.

Sterling filled silver looks like sterling silver.

With a 10x thicker coating than regular silver plated wire, (925 sterling coating over a white brass core) it has a very long wear life.

As with sterling silver, it will tarnish (takes a while) but can be very easily cleaned with a regular silver jewelry cleaner such as Connoisseur liquid jewelry dip.

I recommend keeping sterling filled silver items in a sealed Ziploc bag when not being worn.

14k gold filled wire has a 14 karat plating of gold applied to a yellow brass base/core, 50 times thicker than gold plating, with a gold content of at least 1/20th the total weight of the item.

The tone is more subdued than 24k yellow gold.

Looks like regular solid 14k gold and will wear extremely well if treated with care.

Will not tarnish and can be worn in water (although not recommended).

4. If you think your parcel is lost, please wait 21 days (3 weeks) to make sure and at that time, I will send a replacement.
5. The only guaranteed delivery method through USPS is Priority Mail Express.
