We use "true sizing" for our collars. That means we base the collar size on the circumference of your dog's neck, not the overall length of the collar. This ensures a perfect fit every time!

Example:

1" x 16" means the collar will fit a dog with a 16" neck. All of our collars are also adjustable, so you can generally adjust them up and down from that size at least 1 inch and usually 2 inches in either direction.

Example:

1" x 16-23" means that it is adjustable from neck sizes of 16-23 inches.

To determine your dog's true neck size, measure around their neck with a string or sewing tape. Only hold the string or tape as tightly as you want the collar to fit. Then use that measurement for the collar size.

How do I personalize my Etsy order?

Because of the way Etsy is set up, you will have to fill our your personalization in your order notes at checkout. Please make sure to follow the directions listed on that specific product page description for character limits and available lines. You may also specify a font from our font guide, which will be one of the listed images.

Laser engraved dogIDs tags, collars, and leashes are guaranteed to stay readable for the life of your pet. If the tag becomes unreadable, contact us to get a replacement. If your order arrives with incorrect engraving and we are at fault, we will also replace the item. All other dogIDs products are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and materials with a one (1) year limited warranty, under normal residential use and conditions. Some exclusions apply.* The dogIDs Quality Warranty does not affect Lifetime Guarantee eligibility.

We’ll replace any dogIDs brand product once during the lifetime of your pet at no cost (with standard shipping included) no questions asked! You can keep, recycle, donate, or discard your original product (if you return it to us we’ll donate it). The one time replacement will be an exact match to the original item (including size, color, and personalization). If the exact item is not available, dogIDs will offer a comparable item.
Any artisan or vendor products are eligible for the warranty given by the vendor. If there is a dogIDs nameplate on a vendor item the nameplate will fall under the dogIDs Lifetime Guarantee.
