"Fox & Birds' is a 14 color reductive linoleum print printed with oil based inks onto a sheet of Arches 88 heavyweight cotton paper. The images is 24" X 32" on paper 30" X 40" .
The colors in this print are vibrant and energetic! The image is inspired by the slightest glimpse I had of a fox rustling in the hedges along a rock wall...disrupting the birds in those hedges. It happened so quickly that I doubted my impressions...I don't see foxes very often near where I live along the Massachusetts shoreline. But the idea of what I saw stuck in my mind and thrilled me for some time before I took out my sketch pad and pencils and drew the scenario. I determined NOT to look up photographs of foxes, I wanted to draw from the pictures in my mind and I was pleased with my final drawing because it did look like a fox to me. [This print is a companion piece to my other reductive linoleum print "Fox and Birds and Fox and Birds"]
This reductive linoleum print has an edition of 9 . It was print over several weeks, one color at a time, lightest to darkest. Hope you enjoy it!

I absolutely love this print! Looking at "Library" fills my heart with happiness - it captures and conveys so much of what I think is important in life - The love, trust, warmth and companionship conveyed between the two subjects warms my heart. Doing business with Coco Berkman was an absolute pleasure. There was a delivery problem which she went above and beyond to resolve. I love her work and her wonderful customer service ethic. I will be on the lookout for another work of art from Coco that so touches my heart!
