Vintage Camper Birdhouse Kit & Miniature Scale Model, DIY Build

Now is the ideal time to bring the spirit of nesting for both us and our feathered friends. This retro design can be so fun to build! I took ideas from old photographs from a trailer I once had (a 1974 Scotty). The construction of both, the birdhouse, and the Desktop Mini are fairly simple, but the details leave endless possibilities with making this kit personal to you.

SIZE
• The original, finished Camper Birdhouse should actually be a great home for a small bird family to start. The little windows are the right size to peak in, but still give the new hatchlings security. There's nothing wrong with just sitting this kit up on your favorite shelf to show off your handy work, too! If you're seriously into miniatures, this kit is about a 1:20 scale. Roughly 9" x 6" x 5".
• The smaller MINI scale model is a tiny craft kit you can color yourself. It's so tiny, it can fit in the palm of your hand. About 4" x 3" x 3".

WHAT TO EXPECT
• As with all our designs, this one comes flat-packed. You'll just pop out the pieces and snap them together.
• No glue is required.
• The wood comes natural, unfinished. You're welcome to paint and customize the designs in a way that makes it personal to you. OR get one of our pre-painted kits.
• All 5 punch cards come shrink wrapped with a simple set of instructions.
• These kits do make great gifts for anyone who appreciates the retro design.

ASSEMBLY ENJOYED
• The Birdhouse kit includes over 40 parts to build the miniature camper with awnings on 3 sides, plus flowers for the 2 window boxes, curtains, a spare tire, leveling jack, a Welcome mat, 2 flamingos, even a classic Weber style grill we all had as a kid.
• The MINI is the same camper design at a smaller scale and does not include the extra accessories, but still packs the same amount of fun in the building process!

MAINTENANCE
• The main photo is the "Natural" kit that we spray-painted the individual parts in vibrant colors prior to assembly, which is a great option for both protecting the wood and giving it your own personal touch.
• The kit also looks great left natural, but adding one or two quick spray clear-coats will ensure a longer life out in the elements!

GET CREATIVE
• If you're feeling crafty, get the "Natural" kit and use your own art supplies to style it yourself. Markers, water colors, acrylics, there's no wrong answer.
• The "Natural + Paint Set" includes a strip of 6 colors of acrylic paint, plus a couple of brushes.
• The "Kit w/Clr Pencils" set includes 12 vibrant hues, with no mess!
• We also print a variety of colors so you don't have to paint it if you don't want to! The level of detail and shading is pretty amazing!

WARNING
• Tiny parts would not be appropriate for small children.
• Ideal for ages 8 and up.
