This sunrise photograph was created at Shoeburyness, near Southend on Sea on the Thames Estuary for lovers of sunrise, sunset and ocean photography

Sometimes getting the picture needs a number of ingredients - a good map, knowing when and what direction the sun will be, and of course your chances are boosted with the right gear and a dose of technical expertise. But for this type of seaside photograph, you need something else too: luck! There are not many days when the sun rises close to this cold war defence structure - the Shoebury boom. And I know from bitter experience how fewer are the times when the tide is in. That's so important here because on this part of the Thames estuary, the tide goes out about a mile. On this day, I was blessed with sunrise at a manageable time, water over the mudflats - and a stunning sky. Creating seaside wall art definitely needs a dose of luck!

If you are looking for tranquil art for your home or office and love ocean photography, then perhaps this sunrise seascape is the one for you!

While I love large prints of this picture, it does also work in smaller formats - the second picture shows a 7x5 inch print in a 10x8 inch matte.

This photographic print of sunrise over water will be printed on the lovely Ilford Smooth Pearl paper and I personally print up to 19x13 inches to retain control of the process. Larger sizes will be on an equivalent pearl / lustre paper. Please do message me if you prefer matt or glossy finish.

The watermark / copyright notice will not be in the image I supply to you. Please remember colors vary from monitor to monitor - the print you will receive will have the indigo and blue that so attracted me that morning on the beach.
