MATERIALS
Cowhide: we only use the finest full-grain vegetable-tanned Italian leather. We cut directly from the tanned hides.
Full grain is the outer layer of a hide - which has not been processed / painted / coated to cover the natural marks. Therefore, the leather may contain signs of the animals life like growth marks. Just like grain in wood, natural marks should not be deemed as imperfections, but as character and a statement of a quality material.
Surface dirt can be wiped off with damp cloth and dried at room temperature.
Avoid contact with water, grease and liquids.
All of our metal hardware is made from non-rusting brass.
